Configure Wavlink Devices with Wavlink Wizard

Wavlink Wizard explains how to setup your Wavlink router or extender, and access Wavlink login page on computer to configure its settings.

Wavlink Setup: WiFi Router

1. Unplug your modem and place Wavlink WiFi router near the modem.
2. Connect modem’s LAN port to router’s WAN (internet) port with the help of ethernet cable.
3. Then, power on router and modem.

Now, login to the Wavlink Setup page to configure router’s WiFi network. Follow below steps to configure:

Wavlink Login Process

1. Connect your PC to the router’s WiFi network by selecting the WAVLINK-XXXX SSID from PC’s network list.
2. Open a browser and search the default IP address 192.168.10.1 or URL waplogin.link.
3. The Wavlink setup page will appear; here enter the default login password: admin and click LOGIN.

4. Choose the connection type: DHCP or Static IP.
5. Click Next to access Create Network Page. Here, select WiFi security, then enter a new WiFi name and password.
6. Save Settings and your new WiFi network has been created successfully. Now you can connect your devices with new WiFi network SSID.

Note: In case you have bought an old model of Wavlink WiFi Router or you want to reset an old WiFi router, then you have to access web interface wifi.wavlink.com setup instead of waplogin.link for configuration. Rest of the steps remain same as mentioned in the above section.

Wavlink Setup: WiFi Extender

There are three modes in a Wavlink WiFi Extender: Repeater Mode, AP (Bridge) Mode and Router Mode. We will explain how to setup your WiFi Extender in Repeater mode using two methods: Manual Method & WPS Method:

Manual Method to Connect Wavlink Extender & Router

1. Power the extender near your Home WiFi Router for which you want to extend the network range.

2. Now, connect a PC or laptop to the extender by activating PC’s WiFi and select the extender network: WAVLINK-XXXX.
3. Open a browser and search the default IP or login URL of the extender: 192.168.10.1 or URL waplogin.link.
4. Wavlink Login page will load; here enter the default login password (: admin) to initiate the setup process.
5. This will redirect to the next page where you have to select extender’s mode. Select Repeater Mode.

6. Next, select router’s WiFi network which you want to extend and enter the security password in order to connect the extender to the router.
7. “Create Network Page” will open; here create new repeater username and password, and SAVE Settings.

Wait for the process to reach 100% and click the REFRESH Button. The repeater will reboot to apply changed settings. The configuration setup is complete now, and you can connect your devices to the extended WiFi network.

Note: Prefer to use web interface ap.setup or assigned IP to setup an old model of Wavlink WiFi Extender or to reset an old device.

WPS Method to Connect Wavlink Extender & Router

• Locate WPS Button on router and extender.
• Turn on the extender and router nearby.
• Press WPS button on both the devices.
• Wait for a few seconds until WPS LED on the extender turns solid; indicating a successful connection between the extender and the router.
• Wavlink WiFi extender Setup is complete now.
• Connect devices to extender’s network using your router’s WiFi password.

Wavlink Setup and Login Issues

• Cannot log into Wavlink setup page
• Cannot connect Wavlink router to modem
• Cannot connect Wavlink extender to router
• Wavlink Extender’s Low Internet Speed

Troubleshooting Setup and Login Issues

Cannot Login to Wavlink Setup Page

• Use the updated web browser in your computer to access Wavlink Setup page. To update, go into the Browser Settings > select ABOUT > click UPDATE.
• Make sure you are using the correct login URL or IP address which is waplogin.link and 192.168.10.1.
• If you are using an old model to setup then you should use the assigned IP (usually 192.168.10.1) and URL (usually wifi.wavlink.com setup). You can also check the details on label of the device.

Cannot Connect Wavlink Router to Modem

• Double-Check if the ethernet cable is connected into the Modem’s LAN port and Router’s WAN port.
• Cross examine ethernet cable for cuts or damages. If found then please replace the cable with the new one.

Cannot Connect Wavlink Extender to Router

• Check if your extender is placed at the right place. It should be ideally placed far from the electronic devices like microwave ovens and cordless phones.
• Extender must be plugged in the vicinity of the router. It should be placed about 5 to 10m from the router at the time of installation. And, once the setup is completed you can place it approximately 10 to 35m from the router for high-speed internet.

Wavlink Extender’s Low Internet Speed

• Ensure that your extender is powered on and connected to the router wirelessly or with cable.
• Be sure that the extender is receiving internet signals from the router and is powered on at the optimal location.
